Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been a bilingual since she was nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first position working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami which provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. In 1992, the couple divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who died in 2006 from kidney cancer. It was during a summer vacation that she stayed with her younger sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten an employment. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the university. The university offered her an academic major. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university for a master's degree of media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself inspired her. She in turn was determined to achieve his expectations and never fail him.
